Další těžkotonážní bandou v thrash žánru budou Archaic, kteří jsou srovnáváni s kapelama jakými jsou Testament, Slayer, Kreator nebo the Haunted. Pokud se nic nepokazí, tak tohle bude další jízda.
Alan – Ahoj bando. Kdy jste se dozvěděli o tomto festivale?
Peter – V listopadu 2023, jsme byli požádáni, zda si chceme zahrát. Tak od té doby.
Alan – Když jste se o festu dozvěděli, koukli jste i na předešlé ročníky? Nebo South of Heaven mapujete dýl?
Peter – Ano, vždy se podíváme na festivaly, o kterých jsme ještě neslyšeli, abychom viděli, kde přesně se nachází, abychom si mohli vypočítat cestovní náklady atd., a abychom si o tom udělali obrázek obecně, jaké kapely tam hrají atd.
Alan – Tuto otázku pokládám pokaždé, u každého ročníku, tak ji položím i vám. Už jste hráli někdy v lomu? Co na to říkáte?
Peter – Ani ne, takže se moc těšíme. Osobně mám tyto speciální lokace rád, zvláště pokud je to někde venku, ve volné přírodě.
Alan – Prozraďte nějaké zajímavé místa kde jste si už zahráli koncert, nebo festival. Třeba vlak, letadlo, loď, strž …..?
Peter – Nevím, jestli lze loď v dnešní době považovat za výjimečné místo, jednou jsme hráli. Ve skutečnosti je v Budapešti oblíbené koncertní místo A38, což je loď kotvící na břehu Dunaje, tam jsme měli koncert. A minulý rok v Chorvatsku jsme hráli na Goathell festu, který se konal v pevnosti z 19. století u moře v Pule, to bylo také trochu speciální.
Alan – Co máte nového od začátku roku 2024? Album, změna v sestavě atd ….?
Peter – Skoro nestíháme odepisovat a potvrzovat nové a nové nabídky na koncerty a festivaly na tento rok, což jsme rádi že tak rosteme. V březnu odehrajeme kratší set God Dethroned v Evropě a v létě vyrážíme na různé festivaly v Maďarsku a v Evropě (včetně toho vašeho 🙂). Mezitím jsme také začali pracovat na čtvrtém albu.
Alan – Na South of Heaven přivezete co? Myšleno v repertoáru? A nebo i pokud s sebou povezete nějaké překvapení, ven s tím.
Peter – Dodáme best-of set z našich nejsilnějších písní, zaměříme se i na naši nejnovější desku. Naše sestava bude speciální, protože zhruba v té době se narodí první dítě našeho bubeníka Csaba, takže budeme hrát s náhradníkem.
Alan – Co děláte když nehrajete?
Peter – Všichni jsme zaměstnáni. Csaba pracuje jako manager pro Maďarské národní divadlo, László – kytarista se zabývá logistikou pro dopravní podnik, Gábor – basista je zemědělský inženýr a já jsem učitel na střední škole..
Alan – Váš kout, vaše domovina – jak se vám tam hraje? A nějakou perličku můžete říci/napsat?
Peter – Maďarsko je malá, ale velmi krásná země se spoustou skvělých undergroundových metalových kapel, vynikajícím kořeněným jídlem a Palinka (maďarská brandy). Víceméně ukážeme z každého kousek: metalová část je jasná, náš merch obsahuje jedny z nejlepších ručně vyráběných chilli omáček v zemi a také s sebou vždy nosíme malou lahvičku Palinka, abychom se zahřáli. Kdyby měl někdo zájem ochutnat, nabídneme.
Alan – Bylo by něco, co na sebe prásknete, a nikde jinde jste to ještě neřekli, nebo nenapsali?
Peter – Ne, myslím, to co jsem řekl stačí, zbytek ukážeme na pódiu. 😊
Alan – Na co (nač), nebo na koho se na festivale South of Heaven nejvíce těšíte?
Peter – Vždy mi bylo opravdovým potěšením hrát v České republice, myslím, že tato země má velmi oddané a otevřené metalové publikum (a podle mého názoru nejlepší piva v Evropě), takže se opravdu těšíme. Co se týče kapel, o žádné z nich vlastně nic nevíme, takže jsme zvědaví i na vystupující.
Alan – Díky za rozhovor pro nás a pro návštěvníky festivalu South of Heaven. Uvidíme se na pódiu. Se mnou určitě, já jsem ten co to vše uvádí a v čas vás z pódia vyžene kvůli prostoru pro další kapelu.

We will ask some not-so-serious questions to every band performing at this festival. We are happy that they will play with us, also they are happy that they will play with us. We are happy together. Alan – Hi gang. When did you hear about this festival?
Peter – In November 2023, when we were asked if we could play there.
Alan – When you heard about the festival, did you look at the previous ones? 1 rare you learning about South of Heaven just now?
Peter – Yes, we always check out the fests we haven’t heard of before, to see where it’s located exactly for calculating travel costs etc, and to get a picture of it in general, what bands play there, etc.
Alan – I ask this question every time, with every year, so I will ask it again. Have you ever played in a quarry? What do you think about it?
Peter – Not really, so we’re really looking forward to it. Personally I like these special locations, especially 1 fit is somewhere outdoors, in the wild etc.
Alan – Tell us about some interesting places where you have already played a concert or a festival. For example, a train, a plane, a ship, a jet…..?
Peter – I don’t know if a ship can be considered an extraordinary venue nowadays, but we’ve played on one. Actually there’s a popular concert venue in Budapest, called A38, which is a ship anchored along the bank of the Danube, that’s where we had a gig. And last year in Croatia we played at Goathell fest which took place inside a 19th century fortress next to the sea in Pula, that was also kinda special.
Alan – More than 6 months have passed since the beginning of 2024, so what’s new, and interesting for you? Album, line-up change, etc…?
Peter – We’re constantly booking shows and fests for this year, in March we’ll do a short run supporting God Dethroned in Europe, and in summer we’re heading to different festivals in Hungary and in Europe (including yours 🙂). Meanwhile we’ve also started working on our fourth album.
Alan – What will you bring to South of Heaven? Thought as in the repertoire? Or even if you bring a surprise, can you hint about it?
Peter – We will deliver a best-of set from our strongest songs, focusing on our latest record and our line-up will be special, as our drummer, Csaba’s first child will be born around that time, so we’ll be playing with a replacement on drums.
Alan – What do you do when you’re not playing?
Peter – All of us have regular jobs, Csaba works as an event manager for the Hungarian National Theater, László, the guitarist deals with logistics for a transportation company, Gábor, the bassist is an agricultural engineer, and I’m a teacher at a secondary school.
Alan – Your corner, your homeland – how are you doing there? And can you say/write something interesting about your homeland?
Peter – Hungary is a small but very beautiful country with lots of great underground metal bands, delicious spicy food and Palinka (the brandy of Hungary). More or less, we will show a bit of each one: the metal part is obvious, but our merch includes some 1ft he finest handcrafted chili sauces 1ft he country and we also always carry a small bottle with us to get us warmed-up and if anyone’s interested in tasting it.
Alan – Is there anything you‘re going to tell about yourself that you haven‘t said or written anywhere else?
Peter – No, I think that’s enough about us for now, the rest we will show on stage. 🙂
Alan – What or who are you most looking forward to at South of Heaven?
Peter – It has always been a real pleasure to play in the Czech Republic, I think this country has a very dedicated and open-minded metal audience, (and the finest beers in Europe, in my opinion) so we really look forward to play for you again. As for the bands, we don’t really know of any of them, so practically we’re curious about the performers, as well.
